Guranse has played an important role in supporting local communities by creating employment opportunities, especially for women. The estate employs over 500 people, including tea experts, workers, and pickers, with 95% of its workforce being women. Through sustainable employment, Guranse has helped improve livelihoods in the region and reduce the need for local people to migrate to cities and abroad for work.
Bringing Himalayan Tea to Global Markets
Guranse focuses on producing organic black, white, green, red, and specialty hand rolled teas. Currently, 100% of its tea production is exported to international markets including Japan, Germany, USA, Austria, Spain, France, Poland, and India.
Guranse is expanding its vision by exploring new agricultural opportunities, including coffee cultivation through a pilot project within sections of the tea estate. The company has also planned to enter the domestic tea market.
